Saman is chosen as the recipient of the Canadian Geophysical Union 2019 Young Scientist Award. This prestigious recognition is a competitive award, and it recognizes outstanding research contributions by a young scientist who is also a CGU member.(http://cgu-ugc.ca/awards/youngscientistaward/)

Saman was invited to give a talk at the ECCC’s Flow Forecasting Workshop in Vancouver. This workshop was co-hosted by Environment and Climate Change Canada, Global Water Futures (https://gwf.usask.ca/) and FloodNET (http://www.nsercfloodnet.ca/). In his talk he discussed implications of Integrated Modelling and Model Sensitivity Analysis for flow forecasting. Experts from academic, regulatory, and industrial sectors from all provinces and various universities attended this workshop.
